Kyoto Botanical Gardens in September

The Kyoto Botanical Gardens, located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, is one of Japan’s oldest and largest botanical gardens. Established in 1924, it spans approximately 24 hectares (59 acres) and features a diverse collection of over 12,000 plant species, including native Japanese flora, seasonal flowers, and various international plants. The garden is divided into different thematic areas, such as a conservatory with tropical and subtropical plants, a cherry blossom grove, and a Japanese iris garden.

Visitors can enjoy the changing beauty of the seasons, from cherry blossoms in spring to vibrant autumn foliage. The garden also plays a significant role in plant conservation and education, offering various workshops and exhibitions related to botany and horticulture. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it a popular spot for both tourists and locals seeking relaxation in nature.
