On October 4th, the Deity Departure Festival (Shutsugyo-sai) is held at the Kitano Tenmangu Otabisho. Afterward, the deity will depart, accompanied by the mikoshi cart drawn by an ox, and the ceremonial procession will parade through the parish district. In the evening, the deity will return to the main shrine.
