In March 2016, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore, a cherry blossom viewing event called “Blossom Beats” was held at Gardens by the Bay. More than 20 varieties of cherry blossoms, including Somei Yoshino, were in bloom. As cherry blossoms are rare in Singapore, the event was a great success. From Kyoto, Omuro-zakura cherry trees were featured in the exhibition.
2016年3月、日本とシンガポールの国交50周年というタイミングで、ガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイで「Blossom Beats」という桜の花見のイベントが開催されました。
ソメイヨシノを始めとした20種類以上の桜が咲きました。シンガポリアンには桜は珍しく、イベントは大盛況でした。
京都からは御室桜が出展されました。
