“In preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, citizens of Kyoto, those already involved in Expo-related efforts, and those who wish to begin such efforts will come together. By fostering new exchanges and initiatives, we aim to generate more stakeholders and boost enthusiasm throughout Kyoto Prefecture for the Expo. In FY 2024, with a focus on attracting visitors from across the region, the event will be held around Kyoto Station, the gateway to Kyoto.”
03-1actionplan3an-10-1“A Kyoto booth will be exhibited in the Kansai Pavilion, which will be developed by the Kansai Regional Union within the Osaka-Kansai Expo site (Yumeshima). The Kyoto booth will rotate its focus across various themes, such as “Culture & Environment,” “Food,” “Industry,” “Tourism,” and “Life,” with theme-based projects being presented for specific periods. The booth will mainly feature exhibitions and video content, and on weekends and holidays, there will be activities centered on “experiences, demonstrations, and exchanges” aimed at creating new connections and value. Additionally, a function will be provided for visitors to access event information in the Kyoto region, encouraging them to visit. In the multipurpose area, stage performances, exhibitions, and food festivals will be held during two key periods: Golden Week (April 28 to May 4) and just before the Expo’s closure (September 30 to October 6).”
